My Three Top Favourite Eco Sites

I thought I would share some pretty cool sites that I generally rely on to have sound, useful information. There is so much information on the net today, that it’s hard to decipher what’s good information and what is simply wrong.

I’m a stickler for ingredients and understanding how they work, what their role is in a product and of course, what their potential toxicity level is. For this information gathering, I almost always go tohttp://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ and search thousands of products as well as individual ingredients.

About EWG:

“The Environmental Working Group’s mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. With breakthrough research and education, we drive consumer choice and civic action.

We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.

We work for you. Do you know what's in your tap water? What about your shampoo? What’s lurking in the cleaners underneath your sink? What pesticides are on your food?....”

Everyone knows David Suzuki, but did you know that on his website and as part of his team, he has a brilliant woman working on eco recipes and ideas on creating a greener environment? She’s the Queen of Green and I read her blogs religiously. I highly recommend visiting her athttp://www.davidsuzuki.org/blogs/queen-of-green/ for quick, easy, interesting ideas.

Interested in which companies are cruelty free and those which aren’t? To look up animal testing, I visit http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/cometic-brands-that-are-not-cruelty-free/

One Green Planet has loads of great information from animals to food to recipes to health and life and even great videos.

I could go on and on, but I thought I would share just three of my favourite “go to’s”. Do you have a favourite that is worth mentioning? Please reply in the comments and I would love to check them out!

I also like to search out scientific studies to get a better understanding from a completely different, yet sound
